The president of the Port of Sines considered the nautical school an important partner in the “internationalization process” of national ports, and eShip, as “an extremely interesting project”.

He stressed that the new logistics reality of the 21st century involves “three cross-cutting vectors: Energy, digitalization and decarbonization. “In the digital field, processes will accelerate, there will be greater integration of systems, with a view to greater efficiency and cost optimization. In terms of decarbonization of the economy, cleaner fuels will be sought, it is a current demand when it comes to shipping. There is great pressure on Shipping to accelerate decarbonization. This is felt throughout the logistics chain, naturally in ports, new sustainability needs within the port infrastructure itself,” he analyzed.
