Marloconsult, the Portuguese company with Portuguese-Norwegian capitals, announces the launch of the eShip project, which aims to digitize the process of chartering process in tramp shipping to reduce management costs and induce the digital transition in a complex and traditionally conservative sector. In addition to Marloconsult, the project promoters are Saconsult, VT Mar, the Infante D. Henrique Nautical School (Escola Nรกutica Infante Dom Henrique), and the Reykjavik University (Iceland).
The EEA Grants program is a multiannual financial mechanism, established under the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement, signed in 1992, through which Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein support the member states of the European Union with two main objectives: i) Reduce economic and social disparities in the EEA; ii) Strengthen bilateral relations between beneficiary countries and the three donor countries.
The eShip project was ranked #1 among several dozens of projects that applied for Call # 1 of the EEA Grants 2014-2021
