Regarding investment, today technology is in a different paradigm. The old model involved an initial sizeable expense, together with a small licence fee thus presenting the corporate with only a modest cost for many years of use. This made it hard for the supplier to maintain quality, given difficulties surrounding maintenance of the software, as well as end-of-life security issues. The new model is to invest in a relationship with a supplier once the vendor has seen value. This represents a BIG CHANGE.
